The “Trust the Note” Sharing Session was presented for the first time at the Montreux Jazz Academy in 2021, with Jowee Omicil as the mentor, offering a vibrant, intimate taste of the larger BasH! AkademY experience. This session brings the Akademy’s core principles into a close-knit setting, embracing spontaneity, authenticity, and shared growth. Through real-time improvisation, musicians are invited to trust their instincts and flow freely in the moment, embodying the Akademy’s philsophy of unrestrained creativity and collaborative energy.

Acting as a microcosm of the BasH! AkademY, this session presents a unique, accessible approach to music education and exploration. As a stand-alone event or a prelude to the full Akademy, “Trust the Note” channels the boundless spirit of collective inspiration and musical possibility.
